Flagstaff wind

The wind has finally relented here in Flagstaff. Stopped about 2 o'clock this morning. It was about 60 hours of 20 mph sustained winds with gusts up to 60 mph. Crazy. Glad it's over.

Cali is blowing in the south, we have been under wind watches for the last 3 days. Especially in the passes near Palm springs and 15 above San Bernardino.

Windy down here south of Tucson as well.

With 50 mph gusts, it would be a challenge to camp at Halls Crossing, UT. The views over the reservoir are great, but so is the wind exposure.

Webailed out early from Heber City Utah this morning. Made it down to the Oasis CG right on the Lake at Yuba SP(I15 exit 202). It blew 35+ with gusts to 45-50. We had no intenion of going any further as it was chore to keep the rig where I wanted it. That stretch of I15 has an 80 mph limit and believe me everytrucker is doing 80 or better which makes for quite a bow wave.

The heavy wind is forecast for later this afternoon and we are already rocking.

We're in Flagstaff for the week. It was nasty all night and will be for the next couple of days supposedly. Sustained winds of 8-10 with gusts up to 50. Glad we're not on the move today.

Don't ya love it when your driving along and suddenly your in the next lane.

It is ripping thru the Boulder City, NV./Lake Mead area also.

Hey, Jim, I live in AZ as you know. I did not know what you have stated and can pretty much assure you that travelers from other areas don't either.

Lauren - For us folks in Arizona, when we say "Flagstaff", we're normally referring to Northern Arizona which encompasses the I-40 and I-17 junction.
