Any suggestions on route and best time of year for trip? Will be heading out from Seattle, Wa. area

Many people don't understand that concept either. I agree with you. It not just the destination, but seeing all the countryside getting there. Granted, the sagebrush and scrub in some of the areas of West is not that attractive, but that is just part of the country we live in
