It came from Ada vis. Here is a cut and paste:
We've picked up the FMM Tourist Visa's for the travel club for the past 10 years and I share this with you because we know the contacts in Mexico and who are making the decisions. Below I've shared with you our last meeting with them:
Right now, as of today, the web site to pay for the FMM Tourist Visa has been taken down by the Mexican Immigration Department of Mexico. In addition, we've been told the MID of Mexico plans to take over the issuance of the FMM Tourist Visa once again. They told us this is because they feel, due to the terrorism threats in our world today, they want to be face to face with the people that are coming into their country. Remember everything in Mexico is always subject to change in an instance.
This might be why the travel clubs refuse to refund, for any reason, any member, their money if the FMM Tourist Visa is turned away or refused at the border, and you have to buy another one. Remember, you still have to have the FMM Visa validated at the crossing point declared on your paperwork this is the same place your pay for them. For this reason, we've secured 100 FMM Tourist Visa forms, that you have to fill out and have validated at the border. We can send you these free of charge because you still have to pay the $29 at the border to activate them.
Remember, always put in 180 days in the duration spot so it can be used up to 6 months.
