Friday afternoon Traffic in Conway SC

We are heading to Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach possibly this Friday. Downside is we might be hitting the Conway area around 5pm. Anyone have any experience on a Friday afternoon on how bad traffic might be and how much longer it will take to get to OL? I will just go on Saturday if there is a likelihood we will sit in 2 hours of traffic to go 20 miles into OL. tks

    There will be a lot more traffic in myrtle beach then conway. Don't take 501 bus just stay on 501.

    You will want to take 501 to 544, that take you to the front gate of Ocean Lakes. As for the traffic in Conway it shouldn't be that bad!!--T-10

    Thanks for the tip but that sure looks like a big detour just to go around Conway. How many extra miles is this route and do you think it will really save any time? Tks

    I'll revise my suggestion...since Conway traffic should not be that bad.

    Take 501 to 31 bypass go South to 544 then that should take you to your destination.

    22 would be most traffic free but probably not necessary. Both 22 and 31 are very good roads to travel even with traffic IMO
