The only issue with propane is Baltimore as others have said. 695 gets you around that. Having said that, if you have a couple of hours more (max) I would recommend bypassing NYC, Baltimore and DC and take 84 in CT to 81 through PA then in VA take 17 to 95. Or you could take 84 to the Tappanzee and the Garden State to the NJP to 78 to 81.
