Between Santa Cruz and Monterey on the coast is one of our favorite campgrounds-it is small and a KOA-Moss Landing. By a Marina, 3+ great restaurants, easy walk or bike ride to beach, old (very)small town atmosphere, super clean. In Az. really neat place to visit is "Williams" on Route 40/66. If you have the time-take the train ride to Grand Canyon. We have traveled I10 & I40-recently used I40 it is an older highway well used by truckers-but a lot of fun if you want to follow Rt.66.
