Follow the money... how many scientists won't have a paycheck if there isn't grant money? You don't bite the hand that feeds you, when they tell you Gorebal warming or climate change exists. BTW, Gore invented the internet too! I don't know who invented ocean front property in Arizona, though.

I fill up my tank when it needs it, not going to matter too much the price of a gallon at current prices. $3.45 a gallon near the shipping lanes of Long Beach, CA this morning, on Gas Buddy, and Arco has it for less.

How did 97% of the world's scientist all become leftists?

Perhaps I should clarify in more specific terms for those who do not get the news. 97% of the world's scientists agree that climate change as we are seeing it today is man-made and can be fixed if we get a grip on pollution. This is not political or leftist or whatever. It is scientific fact. Yes, there are 3% of scientists who do not agree - so they get air time. I am too old and will be dead.

So are we saying that fuel prices are related to efforts to get people to slow down consumption of fossil fuels? Probably.

We drive a motorhome that gets about 7mpg so we admit we are not helping - we are using up natural resources and adding pollution to the environment. Guilty. We have no kids or grandkids to leave this world to so we can be selfish and not worry about future generations. But here's the thing - what if the 97% are correct? Should we not try to find solutions? Or just say " What me worry"?

In the US the current "leftist" administration has contributed to a steady and unprecedented increase in production to bring the US to being the world's biggest producer of oil and natural gas. Oil barons were sitting on leases for decades and were told if they do not start drilling they will lose their lease. Big money flowing to those "leftist" oil companies these days. Someone is not paying attention. We are using up our most important resources at an unprecedented rate. If this trend continues the US will run out before anyone else.

Of course there is climate change. There always has been and always will be climate change. It's nothing that humans will be able to prevent or alter to any significant degree.

Do we want to minimize the amount of pollution expelled into the atmosphere? Sure we do. Will it change the course of climate change in the next 1,000 years? Likely NOT......

Because there is BIG money for them in pushing this leftist agenda.

It is getting hot - so give us more money and more power. The only problem is that it is not getting warmer anymore so they had to modify the chant to Climate Change. These are the same people that were scare mongering us with global cooling back in the 70's.

Not me ! Yeah, I'm aware that there are agendas and the real problem is too many people. Global warming is just a fond wish for Canadians and we live on a hill, but time will tell in the end. RYV

Poor Panama. Just think what's going to happen when the ice melts and the Northwest passage opens.

Pretty tough to gain a grip on perspective when things have been relatively unchanged for a hundred thousand years, actually a lot longer than that...

By the way, what caused the ice ages? Did aliens come in giant flying saucers and suck all the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere?

All the news, all the data operates under someone's agenda. Like having your hands high in the air and having a robber read you your rights...

Solar flare ups and arches. My cold sores this year don't lie. hella lot o radiation when those flare up.

Well, the nice thing about science is that they make each other work to prove it to make sure it's true, so even if you don't believe in it, it's still true. We just had the hottest average temp on earth since measurement started - I'm thinking of growing bananas next year ! I'm open minded, though and would be interested in alternate explanations for most anything unless religion is involved. -RYV
