Not sure if NC uses some of the gas tax to fund their state parks, but we do know for sure that camping fees at NC state parks are MUCH lower than in SC. And yes, we too found that the interstates and other roads to be better in NC than in SC.
Guess that the money for these things has to come from somewhere.
