Glacier Nat Park of Canada, bears, and group hiking

There are some great trails in GNP of Canada -- but the website says that you need to hike in groups of four or more because of the bears. So my question is this -- is it hard to find other folks...

Gary, that was an excellent (and credible) video -- thanks for posting it.

Only two quibbles -- what does one do if the bear insists on staying upwind? I guess just pull the trigger and hope for the best.

Also, the video was incomplete -- there were no instructions on proper disposal of one's lingerie following the bear encounter.
