Last year I decided to take 66 out of Barstow CA (where there is a cool little 66 museum) but about 30 miles out of town the road was like a washboard and so I jumped back on the interstate and it was much better.
In 1941 my aunt did a loop trip from Minneapolis to Santa Fe, to Los Angeles, to San Francisco, and east. I am trying to figure out if I can do the same trip.
