- pauljExplorer II264 takes you through the heart of Hopi and Navajo country. Possible stops include the Hopi Cultural Center (Mesa access is limited, esp. with an RV), Hubble Trading Post, and Window Rock.
- Golden_HVACExplorerI always liked the interstates better, and would rather take the extra 50 miles and go that way.

If you go south to Flag you can travel 40 to Winslow and "stand on the corner". Then on to Holbrook and shop at the petrified rock store there. It's cool. The petrified forest wasn't all that exciting to us but we toured it so we could honestly say we did!

Maps has directed us south 89 to 160 towards Tuba City, 264 across to I-40. Does anyone know what kind of road 264 is?
We took this route but from Jacob Lake straight to Flagstaff then across I-40 to Albuquerque. - pauljExplorer IIIt's 2 lane highway, and relatively flat.
By dragging the Google Maps route south to Flagstaff, I see the route is 50 miles longer, but only 12 minutes (so average speed is higher). So if you prefer more freeway, you don't loose anything by doing that.
