We've driven the whole 395 quite a few times with our 40' diesel and had no issues. You won't need to fill often so just drive on the top half of your tank and don't wait until the last minute to find fuel although it's available but the distances might give you problems if you're near 'empty'.

395 is an absolutely gorgeous highway and there are plenty of places to stay along the way. You will have some stretches of 6% grades. It's not flat but not difficult.
