Heading east in northern California
Am in Eureka Ca and are wanting to start heading east to catch 395 south. Any suggestions on which route? 44 or 50 across was what I was thinking.Am pulling a 37.5 5th wheel. Thanks

299 is curvy, but good road.
Do not use 36 Eureka to Red Bluff -- narrow with very tight curves. A white knuckler if you are not real comfortable on that kind of road. 36 east from Red Bluff to Susanville is good easy drive. No fuel in Mineral.
44 Redding to Susanville good also. Fuel in Old Station if needed. No fuel between Old Station and Susanville.
