Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like the best bet is right through town.
Funny how traffic is relative or what one gets used to... I used to live in Chicago and was used to leaving an hour earlier than necessary for meetings, etc. Sometimes I got there an hour early, sometimes right on time.
But after living in a town of 30,000 for the last 10 years, stop & go traffic for 3 hours can sound like the end of the world!
