4th August entered SCRIPPS medical center. Went to cardiac ICU. Room mate flat-lined in room after surgery. I underwent extensive cardioablation. Drove 660 miles to get there and 660 miles 5-days after surgery. I am EMT2 eqvt to Paramedic.
Seniors >55 yrs should undergo a full stress, nuclear, and sonogram exam before moving to Mexico. My Bradycardia events therefore did not come as a surprise. Full renal, hepatic, and CBC testing as well as Lipids. Get a cheap pulse oximeter online through eBay as well as a good BP auto-tester like an Omron. Self test after instruction and react if readings seem screwy. Especially pulse and O2 malfunction. Commercial airlines will not permit boarding if an ambulatory passenger fails to climb the stairs. Telephone call to pushing USA Emergency entrance doors open AIR EVAC service averages 14 hours. This is from sampling a dozen cases.
Advice: Stabilize. Stabilize Stabilize (In Mexico). Then evac. if things come to that.
