I am an independent contractor so I am not entitled to ISSTE. I do have IMSS and last year dropped my private insurance. Too expensive, high deductible and I never used it. I pay my cardiologist out of pocket for year workups and he is also in the IMSS system. If I need heart surgery he would be my doctor/surgeon. So far I have had a complete physical, two dental cleanings and exams and am in line for the dreaded colonoscopy.
ISSTE is really more like a private hospital. Too much to describe here but incredible facilities as well as service and prescriptions. ISSTE now contracts many of its surgical procedures out to private hospitals.
