I live in Utah & have traveled in between Heber City & Orem, UT many times. This is a well-traveled road. One of my husband's co-workers lives up there & travels it every day for work. It is used daily by semis, boaters, campers, cars, etc. If you have any experience driving through a canyon, you will be fine. Your only concern this time of year would be a severe snowstorm. It can be a dangerous canyon but only because people are driving recklessly or faster than conditions allow. From what I can recall, going the other way from Park City to Salt Lake City has steeper grades.
