Loaded question. Age. Bladder. Depends on how much time you have. Where your going. Kids or pets. How comfy is your ride. How far can you go on tank of fuel. Flat land or hills? Weather concerns. Traffic. On ave we go about 4-5 hours (300-400 miles, depending on fuel stop locations), stop, stretch legs, get fuel, walk the dog, "P" break, then back on the road again. Try to make 1st days travel the longer of 2, get to destination by early/mid afternoon. A lot of factors come into play as to what you can do. Keep in mind: you cannot control accidents, road construction delays, breakdowns or severe weather which all play a role on how far you can go despite plans. If we are going a long trip, we try to leave between 2-4/5am to get a jump on traffic. Good idea to have a back up plan/route if main one is kaput. Our method may not be the best or scoffed at, but we have to do what we have to do. Only have 1 week to "Git 'er done"!
