Help please with RV Parking Vancouver

Hi All,

We'll be in Vancouver BC for just a few hours in the next few weeks. Looking to have lunch at a restaurant downtown on Broadway. Wondering if anyone knows a large lot nearby where we can park and walk to the restaurant. It's only for lunch and we don't have time to take buses into the city. Thanks so much!
  • Where, on Broadway and what are you driving?

Broadway is a long, long street and in many places, parking is NOT an issue. Mind you, if you are driving a full sized A and towing, that might prove to be a challenge.

  • The Skytrain (public transit) might be quicker than driving into downtown and finding a vacant spot large enough for your rig. Street lanes are narrow and tight too.

Most of the parking is underground. The open lots don't have a lot of space in which to maneuver.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. I may try Google Earth and look for a big lot. We just do not have time to deal with public transit as we have to get back to the U.S. After lunch. Thanks !
  • I can tell You that driving much less parking an RV in Greater Vancouver is not going to be easy for You.
We have a relative who happens to live on a street which has nothing but bush across the street so are able to sneak a couple of days once or twice a year.
Unfortunately it is no where near the area that You are hoping to get to.
I too would suggest finding a spot near a SkyTrain Station that allows RV Parking and take Public Transit into Vancouver.
  • Your best bet is to park outside the city and take transit in. I would stay close to the Skytrain line and park at Surrey Central Mall. The parking lot is big enough. The SkyTrain will take you downtown and you can bus over to Broadway. I can't think of any lots downtown that are big enough.

Parking is a premium and its hard enough with just a truck.

  • I don't live there but I was there just a couple of months ago. Holy Moly I had a hard time finding a place to park the truck alone I couldn't even think about the fiver and the truck...
