Help with cat friendly hotels/motels McAllen to Akumal

Hi all, we are leaving tomorrow from McAllen and heading to Akumal. We decided to leave our RV in south Texas and drive. We have a cat and we did get booked at the Las Palmas Midway inn in Matalula. I am trying to get somewhere in Puebla but having a terrible time finding anyplace that will accept our cat. Anyone have any suggestions???? Thanks so much.
