Hi way 299 west from Redding California to the coast
I have traveled a lot of mountians, and am looking at the 299 after visiting the Shasta State Historical Park then to the coast ,,up to Oregon. 25' trailer and skilled driver. Hows' the road?

Hwy. 20 ia my choice to get to the coast. I have driven 299 with a 32TT. It is not a road that you can just relax and enjoy the scenery. Be sure and check what construction projects are going on before you start on 299. I prefer a more relaxing and easier RV road to get to 101. You might add an extra hour but worth it to me.
