Hi way 299 west from Redding California to the coast
I have traveled a lot of mountians, and am looking at the 299 after visiting the Shasta State Historical Park then to the coast ,,up to Oregon. 25' trailer and skilled driver. Hows' the road?

We overnighted at Elk Country RV Resort & Campground near Trindad. Elk are known to come into the rv park. They didn't the night we stayed but we did see over 50 in the park a few years previous as we were passing by.
Hwy. 36 is designed for pack carrying donkies and motorcycles:):):)
Nothing wrong with 36 that a competent driver can't handle. Pulled a TT across it many times.
