If you plan on getting on I5, you might want to check the ferry rates for the Anacortes ferry which runs from Sidney. Washington state ferry offers a very reasonable rate up to 60 feet. On the other hand as others have stated, 101 South to I5, I find a nice scenic drive with some short hills and curves. Dependant on timing, it is nice to miss that Seattle traffic.
