- avanExplorerTo answer your only question, "yes".
- naturistNomadDragged the TT all the way from the UP to Redmond,WA. Fine road, mostly 2 lane, but quite enjoyable. Do it.
- pigman1ExplorerWe run US-2 from Mackinac Bridge to Shelby Montana every trip to Alaska and we have been up 8 times since 2006. This year road through the Upper Peninsula is mostly 2 lane with passing lanes. Once past Duluth you'll see 2 lane with passing lanes and divided 4 lane through Minnesota. North Dakota is just about all 4 lane divided and Montana just about all 2 lane, with some construction just east of Shelby. Lots of wide open spaces so easy passing, and we had good service on Verizon. Plenty of fuel. We don't ever stop at RV parks, so no help there, but there seemed to be plenty. A great run.
US-2 is where DW got used to driving a 70' rig. She's an expert now and won't hesitate to take on places like Atlanta in rush hour. Again, a great road. - WE-C-USAExplorer

Yes many have & do travel Hwy 2 across the northern states. You won't be alone.;) - jplante4:
That is a great trip! We went west to east a few years back.
Lots to see!
Careful going across Mac Bridge! It gets a little windy! Watch the signs! We had to drive in left lane at 25 MPH! Great scenery going across bridge.
Been to Air Force Museum several times over the years. Takes me two or three days! - jplante4Explorer IIWe're headed that way next week. Headed to Dayton to see the Air Force museum and then up the UP, across the Mackinack Bridge to pick up US2. Plan on going all the way to Everett WA.
Look for a Sahara with white tigers on the back. - RiverchaserExplorerThanks everyone, we are thinking about going from kentucky to oregon via glacier and wondered if there was anything different to see. All ideas appreciated.
- BarabooBobExplorer IIII love traveling the US highways. We took 2 through Minnesota a couple of years ago on the way back from Glacier. We never ran into problems with gas and we only had a 200 miles range. As a safe gaurd, we carried 2 gallons of gasoline with us just kn case but we never had to use it.
- Yes, traveled all those locations.
We did not find any loss of cell service. No issues with finding fuel.
Enjoyed the slower pace on US 2.
Highway is mostly good two lane with additional lanes in some areas.
What specific info do you need? - LynnmorExplorerI enjoyed it, fill your tank when you can. Each hamlet has a bar, diner and a gas station, or a bar and a diner, or just a bar. :D
