highway 54
How is highway 54 between Mead Ks and Tucomcari NM

Just left Nogal, NM today and drove up 54 through Mead, KS. It is an ok 2 lane in places 4 lane in places, you have several towns to go through there is no construction right. It is about the only direct way to Mead. About a 4 1/2 hour drive.
