Highway 70 to Ruidoso,NM

Question

Hello. My husband and I are fairly new to RVing.  We have a 40 foot 5th wheel and looking to go to Ruidoso, NM.  How is the drive from Roswell to Ruidoso?  I haven't been there in about 25 years so I don't remember how the roads are.  How tight are the turns and is it a 2 or 4 lane road.  Thank you and any info will be appreciated.

us 70 is a nice 2 and 4 lane road with generally wide shoulders.

Great drive. 4 lanes all the way. Our then TV, a 2005 F150 w/ 5.4 Trition pulling a 4950# TT did not labor much crossing from Roswell.

We did this route in March of 2014.

Great route across NM, bit of climb going West out of Ruidoso. Good four lane all the way with very little traffic.

Agree with above. I towed our 5er across there a couple years ago. Good road.
