My FIL travels that road in a front-loading trash truck, so it is wide enough to get an RV along it.
I did read online somewhere about a week ago that it is still considered a construction zone with a reduced speed. Crews are still erecting fence along the sides of the road to keep livestock off the road way.
Going through Tuba City will be a longer route, but has the potential to be quicker if you are on a time constraint.
