We got on Hwy 1 north of SF several years ago pulling a 38' 5'r, the sign stating "over 35' not advised" was AFTER we were on it. NEVER again, many tight switchbacks, many 1 fingered salutes, a real white knuckler. We went inland as soon as we could, don't do it, really don't do it
