Hwy 17 from Mt Pleasant/Charleston to Wilmington NC?
Has anyone gone this route who can offer advise? It looks shorter than going the freeway. Thanks!

- Slow-going - expect a lot of traffic and often construction. Bypass Myrtle Beach as much as possible.
When we opt for 95, we usually get off below Lumberton onto 74. Straight shot and much less traffic to Wilmington.
That said, on good weather holidays (like this weekend!) and all summer weekends, you'll have beach traffic out to the coast on all routes.
