Hwy 26 Eastern Oregon in late October
Hi, We want to drive up from Central California, through Bend, and up to Hood River; eventually heading to Athol, Idaho... I would love to know if anyone has done a trip like this in Late Oct....

Could be beautiful, could be snowy. Odds are beautiful. Unless you have a destination in Hood River I would take 97 to Biggs and I-84 then head East. Go through Kennewick, WA and take 395 north to Ritzville then I-90 east to Spokane. Going over Mt. Hood and taking 35 to Hood River will give you your best chance for snow. If the roads get dicey, which I doubt, you could always unhook the Jeep and drive separately. 35 is particularly pretty.
