HWY 395 Barstow to Carson City
Has anyone taken this route recently? I am concerned about the high passes (7500 - 8000+) as far as snow etc.. Also, places to stop and to stay along the route; I understand that there is alot to see,...

Sherwin Grade from Bishop is 6% for 8 miles. You will climb to 8,000' +
going over Deadman and then Conway Summits. Devil's Gate north of Bridgeport is another climb. None are that big of a big deal in modern equipment. Be careful on the downhills.
There is plenty of room at Glass Creek for your outfit.
