Going to Bryce,Ut. from Torrey,Ut. Is hwy 62 South off of hwy 24 a good road to travel with 40' 5th wheel. Map shows road in black and not red. Kind of leary.

Is there some reason you aren't taking Hwy 12 which is the normal route. It does have some steep grades but also spectacular scenery. We did it without any problem pulling our 34 ft fifth wheel and there were plenty of other big RVs on the road with us. If you are underpowered then that could be a problem tho.62 is most likely fine, I don't have any specific recollections of that road but over the years we've been up and down most of them in the area.

What is your comfort level?IMHO most can easily handle RT 12 - I LOVE it, and have driven out of the way to drive it in my signature rig, so if you have been comfortable on the black roads or search the Scenic Drives this - RT 12 is fine for you. I really could not tell you about the other route as, IMHO, RT 12 is the only way to go.BUT - I am comfortable driving in almost any condition, and I tend to search for the Routes that are Just Beautiful and Memorable. I am comfortable , with the route and if you are not I cannot recommend you doing something that is just not good for you. So - Watch the Utube to see if it's for you - then decide.Best of Luck,

Busskipper, watched utube. Convinced not the road for us. I wouldn't have a problem, it's the Wife sitting in passanger seat with shear dropoff and no rails in most places. Thanks.
