Can't go that way with your rig.  This is a very narrow road in places.  I've had to back up as a dually PU with camper coming the other way was too wide to pass.
As for CG's, very few options.  Land is just too expensive.  Aspen-Basalt CG has a lot of full timers.  Maybe the closest best option is the 
Gateway RV park in Carbondale run by the city.  Up the Crystal River, there's a "new" KOA.  It used to be the BRB Crystal River CG.  They've put some upgrades into it since the change, like a new bathroom.  Never stayed at any of these, so can't comment on how they are.
