Hwy 97 ( Alaska Hwy) closed North of Fort St John

Just saw on The evening news that wildfire north of Fort St John has closed Hwy 97. No idea when it will open. BC wildfire map. First are bad in northern BC and Alberta right now, be careful every...

Alaska Highway is closed in both directions near Fort St. John.

No detour in effect.

But, when going north on Hwy 97, you could take a left turn at Prince George and take the Cassiar Highway. Nicer scenery up there anyways.
