HY101 Sinkhole near Brookings
It seems that there is a major sinkhole across the entire highway near Brookings, OR. Link

We are traveling here this summer so this post caught my eye. The road is not actually 101, but the road next to 101 with a parking lot in between.
The access road from 101 to the Harbor shopping center is the main sinkhole.....but now it has chewed into the southbound lanes of 101. The detour is Benbow Lane down to the harbor itself then back up just south of the bridge to get into Brookings.
