I-10 best choice thru TX?
Traveling Jan 15th from Pensacola FL to Casa Grande AZ. Was wondering if I-10 through TX is the best choice of route to take at that time of year. Camp grounds, fuel, safety? Lakeside

Unless you're in a real hurry take a side trip to Carlsbad Caverns or White Sands when you're passing through NM. They're both worth seeing. Also, before you get to the "boring" part of west TX, make a stop in Kerrville/Fredericksburg. That's TX Hill Country and there's plenty to see there.
