We have about 20 rigs 'trapped' at Davis Mountains State Park due to ice and snow on local roads. Had a report from Balmorhea SP that they were full of trapped rigs, and several folks were bedded down in churches in Balmorhea due to ice on I-10 (exits 206 & 209).
Called everyone we could reach with reservations for DMSP yesterday and told them not to try to come due to road conditions.
It is supposed to hit 40 today, so some stuff might melt - but back into the 20s again Saturday night/Sunday early AM.
Not only is there ice on the roads, but freezing fog is reported by TXDOT on I-10 and US-90.
