Double ditto. The multiple hurricanes with their storm surges keep the section between Texas and Tallahassee FL in constant need of repair.
Drove a short distance on it last year. Got off ASAP. We’ve been driving I 20 for our East-West long trips in the southern tier.
Ah, no. The Florida section of I-10 is one of the best road surfaces on that highway. If there is hurricane disruption the FDOT people jump to getting it fixed as quickly as possible. Florida politicians know that tourists=money and do their best to keep them happy. At least in the part of the state away from Miami/Palm Beach. There is minimal corruption. None of that is true for Louisiana where crooks fresh out of prison get elected Governor.
Clearly you weren't on I-10 in the panhandle after Hurricane Michael. Please leave the political bashing out this thread. The OP just wanted to know about the conditions on I-10.
