After all the highway is far from the Gulf in most places. But I'll guess that if you travel I-10 in Florida today there will be no visible damage to the road surface. Unlike LA which never seems to fix their roads.
We drove it Dec. 4th and yes you can see much damage 60 miles west of Tallahassee to the city itself. It was awesome. There are whole forests with the trees sheared off about 30 feet up. There are many I10 signs that are not reinstalled and lie curled up in the ditches. There are some teams of people removing the dead trees and you can see fields of dead trees stacked 30 feet high. The RV camps along that route are gone or just partly open.
So to think everythings ok it is not.
