i-35 Austin to Oklahoma City

Has anyone driven I-35 Austin to Oklahoma city route lately? I know traffic is always heavy but a friend told us the traffic is really bad south of Ardmore and north of Springer and that's what the traffic maps show too. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this lately going north on I-35. Heading north on Thursday, 7/2.

    I-35 thru Ft Worth is a B*&$h. They are redoing about a 20 mile section of road from about I-30 to north of the 287 split-off. It has always been bad, but now it's even worse. Keep your head on a swivel and your foot hovering above the break pedal.

    With all the other construction going on I-35 in TX that will just seem a normal part of the trip.

    The rock slide is north of Ardmore and I just read that it may be several months before it's completely fixed. Construction is what's causing the delays to the south.

    they are probably working on the road up by Ardmore because there was a mudslide not long ago and closed the road for a few days. now it's probably just a work zone.
