Looks as if we may be traveling I-40 again from Little Rock,Arkansas to Memphis, Tennessee after having not traveled on it for two years. I haven't been on it in awhile either. The worse part for me was always when you started getting closer to the Memphis side. Too many goings on on both sides of the interstate and vehicles blending in with you. Big mess...Certainly have to be on your toes...Roy Ken

It was being torn up and replaced last summer when we were on it last between Little Rock and Memphis. Took us two hours to go 35 miles. Looking at AR state highway department maps shows lane closings and slow downs still on I-40. You might give AR state highway and transportation dept a 1-800

TECmike - I asked the same question a couple months ago.Here are the answers I got.Will be going that way in a week.

About a 27 mile stretch in the Eastern part of AR that seems to be under perpetual construction. Single lane each direction.
