I 40 East Tennessee
Has anyone traveled west bound on I 40 in east Tennessee just across North Carolina line? Heard there is a possible detour or lane closures. Not much specific info on TDOT sites. Thanks

I wondered about that "height" restriction but was unclear if they meant "height" or "width". It must be height since 12 feet plus is quite wide! Height restriction is the most serious concern and we will be leaving Gatlinburg tomorrow and need to decide which way to go. I hate to go through Pigeon Forge and 19 traffic lights. I prefer to go 321 to I 40 and then west which will take me through the Douglas Lake bridge construction.
