- There can be ice and snow any time during the winter.
- But it is rarely an issue along I-5...especially that late in the season.
- Use Trip Check (website) before you travel and adjust your plans accordingly.
- If you do get caught in some weather, just pull over and spend an afternoon/evening all warm and cozy in your RV. And by noon the following day it will probably be all cleared up.
- In the unlikely event that it isn't cleared up, and you wish to push on, be prepared to maybe need chains going over the Siskiyou's. (Oregon State law requires you carry them anyway when going over any passes in the winter) Les Schwab will sell you chains and if you don't use then, they will refund your purchase.
