I-55 Memphis to St Louis??
Thinking about using I-55 north from Memphis to St Louis in July but have never run that route. How are the road surface conditions, traffic etc. I assume not too many hills as it runs the river valle...

I-55 is fine from Memphis to St. Louis. Only problem is the construction around West Memphis on I-40. Road is easy travel with no big hills. Once in St. Louis area traffic becomes pretty hectic. Don't know what your destination is but I would work my way around St. Louis using the by-pass if possible. Lots of 18 wheelers use I-55.
