I-55 Memphis to St Louis??
Thinking about using I-55 north from Memphis to St Louis in July but have never run that route. How are the road surface conditions, traffic etc. I assume not too many hills as it runs the river valle...

You might consider US 60 west to US 63 north to I-70 in Columbia, MO and miss St. Louis all together. Lots of 4 lane and not nearly as much traffic.
You could also stay on 60 clear to Springfield then take 71 to KC.
