2gypsies suggestion is an interesting drive - have been on those roads several times when I lived in CO (30+ years with 15 at Silverthorne). If you prefer to not take interstates it is a good alternative.
That said - if you prefer to stay on I 70 - hose who say 10,00 ft "several times are exaggerating. Floyd Hill - directly out of Denver/Golden is only around 7000. Eisenhower Tunnel is indeed 11,000+ Vail Pass is just under 10,000 from there to Moab is all "downhill" The suggestion of 128 into Moab is certainly preferred! A beautiful section of road.
Those elevation may sound daunting to you but it is all Interstate (until 128 in Utah) with grades at 6% except for short segments as you approach the tunnel and again on the west (downhill) side of Vail Pass. Easily done in your RV. Do it and enjoy!!
