The suggestion to take 35 East was a good alternative. 35 East out of Corbin Kentucky is a four-lane road all the way down to 81. The roads are smooth passable and in really great shape. When we are heading back North from South Carolina we will be taking the same route going home back to Indiana. I totally agree Interstate 65 is a horrible Road and we avoided at all costs. So I suggested above take 35 East out of Corbin Kentucky and you'll have a very enjoyable route it's also very scenic.
