well thanks to everyone who replied about Atlanta even though I asked about Chattanooga :) We ended up staying on I-75 along the east side of Chattanooga instead of trying 60. And by the way for everyone concerned about Atlanta, we went around on the west side bypass with no trouble until we got back on I-75 on the south side where traffic was very slow today.
