I am headed for NY via 81 on the 14 I'll check for updates, thanks for the heads up.

PennDOT has now revised the alert to say that I-81 will reopen on Tues, May 14th at the earliest.

It is unclear what will be closed indefinitely but the demolition is continuing around the clock as of tonight. There will be reduced lanes on 22/322 ramps as these bridges are being removed. I-81 will eventually reopen but it is a huge mess at the present time. The volume of traffic being detoured is causing monumental delays on the PA Turnpike and PA-581/I-83. There have also been numerous other accidents on these roads.

Yes, you can but.....you'll still see slow or stopped traffic and delays at certain times of the day.

Yes I-81S to I-83S to 581 to I81S or 83S to 283S to Pa tp west to I-81

Stay away at rush hours

both over passes that go over I-81 need removed before I-81 can be opened

That's going to be nasty,hope it can be fixed quickly ,but there not saying when yet.
