I-84 through the Columbia Gorge closed due to fire
If anybody has plans to drive along the Gorge, you need to make different plans. Clicky The fire has jumped the Columbia, so expect the Washington side to be a mess as well.

Trucks are taking US26. Cars can use WA14. There are tracks on both sides of the river.
